🧑🏻‍💻 Evgeny studied fields of knowledge, but a lot of information on the English language, so he can read an article
on the Medium. Still, some sentences hard to understand, and feature «Editor» can help to translate and even
the quality of translation.

1. Discover

The goal is to determine what the objective is.

Where did the goal come?

Make «sentence editor» born in personal obstacles during learning English and improving reading skills.

Who is our consumer?

People who want to learn English to get employed, to improve reading, companies who wish to improve their
services and make better translate quality.

What consumer's problem solves?

Make better quality of translating English, websites, online books, also make a better quality of the products of
the company (Google translate, some Language learning platform).

What will the solution look like from the user's perspective?

Any sentence can be highlighted, and there an option → to Translate. After that, you see the translation from English to the user's native language. But we all know the high quality of machine translation. In our case, we can customize the result
of translate and make it more humane.

How is this task being solved now?

Lingualeo has a similar extension for Chrome, but there is no customization, only roughly translate,
and you can save word or whole sentence. You can suggest your variant of translation.

How many users are affected?

There are 1.5 billion English-language learners worldwide, says British Council member John Knagg. The group is one of the largest providers of English language instruction in the world, with more than 3,000 full-time English teachers globally.

I've been working on the project, based on my own
English to Russian translation problems 🤷🏻‍♂️

2. Define

The goal is to see if it's even necessary for the feature and what it will take to accomplish it.

What metrics are affected by the feature?

Conversion, Retention, Engagement, Task successful rate.

What resources will it require? Time, money?

As a final step, before developing this feature, I’d work with the Product Manager to understand what
KPIs we should measure and what would be considered a success. But one thing is a machine learning system.

What are the alternatives?

Lingualeo, Grammarly and Google have such a feature.

Release date of the task? Optimistic/pessimistic forecast

Only collaboration with engineers and Product Manager will tell.

3. Design

The goal is to design a solution to the problem, to prepare the final design.

How do similar tasks are solved in the interfaces of other products?

What barriers can our users face?

Trying to translate too many sentences at once.

Is it possible to do a little research and take them off?

Several tools have been used to see the function close-up.

Will we be able to implement the solution in terms of development?

Only collaboration with engineers and Product Manager will tell.

How will the problem-solution look like in terms of the product interface?

It will looks like symbios extensions of Google + Grammarly + Lingualeo 🤔
